Y73 Dead After Unlock - VIVO Users, Beware!
Here's some crucial information regarding the VIVO Y73 that you need to know!
After attempting to remove FRP, the VIVO Y73 might not power on and could become undetectable through any port. Even standard methods like testpoint or CLK might not yield results. Even removing the UFS chip won't solve the port detection issue. Interestingly, the DC power supply registers power at 0.083 Amps with UFS and only 0.020 Amps without UFS, with no port recognition whatsoever.
But worry not! We have two methods to potentially revive your device:
Method 1: UFS Chip Replacement
- First, replace the dead Y73 UFS chip into a Redmi Note 10s motherboard.
- Next, flash Y73 firmware (preferably using Pandora or CM2) onto the Redmi Note 10s motherboard with the Y73 UFS chip.
- Once the flashing process is complete, reinsert the Y73 UFS chip into the original Y73 motherboard and test the device.
- It should power on now. Afterward, perform a hard reset.
- You'll probably notice a 'test device' message on your display without IMEI. To recover IMEI, connect to a port and write the rpmb file using Pandora Box or CM2.
Method 2: Direct Chip Manipulation
- Alternatively, you can remove the Y73 UFS chip and write a dump using EasyJTAG.
- After writing the dump, reattach the chip to the mobile.
- This should prompt a preloader port to appear.
- Flash the firmware using CM2 or Pandora.
- After flashing, you'll again encounter a 'test device' message on your display without IMEI. To recover IMEI, connect to a port and write the rpmb file using Pandora Box or CM2.
Stay cautious and try these methods at your own risk. Good luck!
